Santana Motors signs a strategic agreement with ZNA and Anhui Coronet to restart production in Linares

At Santana Motors, we have signed a strategic agreement with ZNA and Anhui Coronet Tech for the joint production of a new generation of off-road vehicles. The signing took place on April 28 in Chuzhou, China, with the presence of top executives from all three companies.

This agreement represents a key step for us—not only in terms of innovation and technological development, but also because it marks the industrial revival of the Santana Factory in Linares, a historic plant in the Spanish automotive industry.

Over the past few years, our teams have worked closely with ZNA and Coronet to design a new model that preserves the essence of Santana: durability, reliability, and off-road capability. This new range, set to be manufactured in Linares, will include latest-generation diesel versions and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) alternatives, tailored to meet today’s and tomorrow’s demands.

Through this alliance, we reinforce our vision of intelligent, sustainable reindustrialization—one that is committed to employment and local economic development. The legendary Santana brand, a symbol of Spanish industrial craftsmanship, is back in motion to conquer new markets across Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

From Linares, we are writing a new chapter in the history of 4x4.
